About Us
Mali Therapy Centre for Children with Autism is an early intervention, integration & inclusion centre for autism and other related disorders. The centre together with Autism Moms KE are under the umbrella of Mali Autism Awareness center a registered Community Based Organization focused on autism awareness, support & education. The center opened it’s doors in February 2022 to bridge the gap between therapies and formal education in Kenya. The number has since grown from the initial five (5) and we continue to grow. Our focus is on children between the ages of 3 to 10. Our mission is to ensure that therapy for children with Autism and other related disorders is accessible in both the rural and urban areas in Africa. The Centre boasts of the most experienced, certified therapists who focus on Occupational Therapy, Applied Behavior Analysis, Speech therapy, Floor Time/play therapy, Tomatis Music Therapy and Special Education to prepare the children for transition into mainstream schools. In the past one year, we have managed to support five (5) of our children transition to mainstream schools.
Our goal is to create awareness on Autism and related disorders and also capacity building in the early learning institutions and settlements across Kenya and the region.
While we are already creating awareness and building capacity in terms of knowledge and skills through community outreaches by training caregivers and social media, we need your help to make an even wider and effective reach.
Thus the need for an awareness and capacity building program.
